Staging means that you tell the actors how to do something. - If you like, you can also become an actor. Perform in front of an audience in an audio walk
What can we offer you?
- a creative exchange: you tell us how you see your neighbourhood. In return, we offer an artistic project in which you actively participate.
- Encounter: You get to know other people and their view of the Reiherstiegviertel and Wilhelmsburg
- Compensation for expenses: If you participate until the end of the project (August 2024), we can pay you a small financial allowance
Who ist „we“?
We are Toni and Benjamin. We manage the project. We speak German and English. For all other languages, we can use apps that translate into different languages. Together with seven other artists, you and other people from Wilhelmsburg, we are creating the figure of the Stadtteilastronautin.
What is important to take part in the project „Die Stadtteilastronautin“?
- You live in Wilhelmsburg. You know the Reiherstiegviertel well.
- We need a signed declaration of consent that we may record your voice and use it for the audio walk.
- You do not represent any inhuman ideas and stand for diversity and an open society
When does the project take place? What times should you expect?
- You take a walk with Toni and Benjamin, which lasts about 2 hours. We will record our walk.
- a performance visit of a first draft of the audio walk on Friday, May 24th. Here you will get to know the other people involved from Wilhelmsburg and the artistic team. We need your feedback here: Is the Stadtteilastronautin telling a story correctly? Or would you like to disagree somewhere? Do you want to add something?
- You will take a second walk of around 2 hours between May 27 and June 30. Here you can change the performance and you can become the director for two actors with our support
Directing means that you decide what and how we should tell the story of the urban astronaut.
The performances of the audiowalk are between 01.08. and 04.08. and between 05.09. and 09.09. You don’t have to be there. But we would of course be happy if you came to one of the performances.
